Job summary

Apogee Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Architect to lead design and documentation for healthcare architecture projects. You will coordinate with consultants, manage design intent, and supervise teams to deliver construction-ready documents.

The role requires a strong background in architectural principles, project delivery methods, and healthcare facilities. Office-based work in Charlotte, with travel up to 20% as needed; NCARB certification and state license are required

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is required.
• Five-year bachelor’s degree in architecture.
• Minimum fifteen years’ experience in the A/E industry (six years licensed).
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Travel up to 20% depending on project.
• State Architectural License and NCARB Certification required; LEED or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads project teams with collaborative direction to ensure high performance.
• Consults with clients to identify functional, spatial, and aesthetic requirements and prepares concepts and cost estimates.
• Plans layout of projects and integrates engineering elements.
• Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for builders.
• Manages discipline work plans and project schedules.
• Creates designs using CAD software and coordinates with other disciplines.
• Attends project meetings with clients as needed and communicates progress.
• Mentors junior designers and guides skill development.
