Job summary

Integra Partners is seeking an experienced software professional to join the development team as the EDI platform modernizes. You will design, implement, and test solutions for healthcare data exchanges, focusing on EDI (x12 HIPAA) and related formats such as HL7/FHIR.

Collaboration with SRE and cross‑functional teams is essential. The role requires 5+ years of software development experience, backend work with Java or Golang, and strong knowledge of containerization and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing, developing and testing software applications.
• OO and functional design and development experience.
• Agile development practices.
• Experience with high performance/high volume batch processing.
• EDI (x12 HIPAA transactions); FHIR is a plus.
• Edifecs tools (xEngine, XEServer, EAM, SpecBuilder, TM).
• Backend development with Java or Golang.
• Microservices with APIs, events, observability.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• DevOps & CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software for EDI platforms in a healthcare setting.
• Manage data transformation processes for EDI transactions and healthcare formats (e.g., HL7, X12).
• Ensure accurate data mapping within containerized apps.
• Monitor performance, health and resources of deployed EDI applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems via APIs and EDI.
• Automate build/deploy processes with SRE collaboration.
• Conduct testing/validation for data accuracy and interoperability.
• Perform load testing under heavy workloads.
• Maintain relationships with vendors to support EDI workloads.
