Job summary

Integra Partners is seeking an experienced EDI Technical Lead Engineer to guide modernization of our healthcare interoperability platform and drive enterprise-scale EDI and FHIR integration solutions in a cloud-ready environment.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical direction, and collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability, robust data transformation, and compliant data exchange across payers, providers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/Engineering
• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of healthcare EDI experience
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions, HL7, and FHIR
• Hands-on experience with Java/C#/Go
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability, data governance, and security best practices

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and implementation standards for EDI and interoperability solutions
• Define design reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers
• Design and implement scalable healthcare data exchange solutions using X12, HL7, and FHIR REST APIs
• Build reusable frameworks for data validation, translation, error handling, and reconciliation
• Integrate internal platforms with payers, providers, clearinghouses, and vendors
• Help modernize Integra’s EDI platform toward microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native deployments
• Support migration from batch integrations to real-time interoperability
• Implement observability and monitoring across integration services
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations to ensure reliability and compliance
