Job summary

Rackspace Technology seeks a Principal Architect, Healthcare to own resilience and disaster recovery architecture for healthcare workloads, including Epic and Cerner. You will guide DR tiering, RPO/RTO and continuity strategies while serving as the technical escalation point across the Healthcare Vertical.

You will collaborate with Healthcare Infrastructure, Epic Operations, Security and Clinical Informatics to ensure compliant, No-PHI-export designs and readiness reviews for go-lives.

Qualifications

• 12–14 years of infrastructure or systems architecture experience.
• Minimum 7 years direct work in healthcare systems environments (EHR, HIPAA-regulated).
• Strong expertise in DR, resilience, and HIPAA-compliant designs.

Responsibilities

• Architect resilience and disaster recovery for healthcare workloads (Epic, Cerner, EHR).
• Define DR tiering, failover, RPO/RTO, and continuity strategy per HIPAA/HITRUST.
• Serve as escalation point for the Healthcare Vertical's DR/resilience issues.
• Contribute to Deal Gate submissions and Healthcare Delivery Assurance reviews.
• Lead RCAs for DR incidents and share findings with teams.
