Job summary

Hammes, a leading healthcare real estate development firm, seeks a Development Manager to oversee all phases of assigned healthcare projects. You will lead design consultants, contractors, and partners to solve problems and achieve shared goals.

The role requires a strong track record in development, budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in real estate development with MOB, Healthcare, and Mixed-Use projects.
• Proven ability to lead planning, design, preconstruction, negotiations, cost control, and scheduling.
• Strong budgeting, contract negotiations, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a track record of delivering projects on budget.
• Ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from planning through close-out.
• Lead design consultants, contractors, and partners to meet program goals.
• Develop and maintain development budgets and schedules in Excel.
• Oversee A/E qualification and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate public approvals and entitlements with authorities.
• Prepare client reports and presentations for boards and committees.
• Promote company services and build community relationships.
• Direct project design and construction administration per policies.
