ERISA Recovery, Inc. is seeking an experienced Collections Manager to lead a team of Analysts focused on hospital claim denials and appeals within our ERISA-focused revenue cycle practice.

You will develop performance strategies, coach staff, optimize workflows, and ensure compliant, timely claim recoveries through collaboration with insurance carriers and hospitals. This leadership role demands a data-driven approach and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in healthcare revenue cycle, denial management, or hospital billing.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership within healthcare collections or revenue cycle.
• Extensive knowledge of hospital denials, appeals, and reimbursement processes.
• Strong medical terminology and coding (CPT/HCPCS, ICD).
• Experience with EHRs, claims systems, and payer portals.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven improvement ability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Analysts focused on hospital claim recovery and appeals.
• Set clear performance expectations using BI and operational data.
• Coach performance reviews and professional development activities.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor productivity, recovery metrics, and SOP effectiveness.
• Develop and refine departmental SOPs and workflows.
• Identify opportunities to maximize claim recoveries and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and payer requirements.
• Analyze performance trends and provide strategic leadership reporting.
• Collaborate with carriers and hospitals to facilitate claim recovery.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on reimbursement methodologies.
