About The Job

The Senior Decision Support Analyst for the Health Plan works with fellow Analysts and the Director to provide analysis and dashboard reporting for organizational leaders. Responsibilities include providing analytics to support decision-making, updating monthly data validation, and reporting.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, health informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience (minimum 4 years).
• Five or more years of experience in healthcare finance, decision support, data analytics, or managed care reimbursement.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to translate complex data into understandable reports and presentations.
• Independent work ethic with initiative and timely project completion.
• Knowledge of health plan operations (claims, revenue, risk adjustment) preferred.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Business Objects is highly preferred.
• Experience with SAS environment, SQL, and coding in Base SAS or SAS Enterprise Guide is preferred.

What You Will Do

• Understand health plan operations and healthcare analytics.
• Provide analytics supporting performance improvement.
• Research and analyze healthcare claims, pharmacy, and lab data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports.
• Write database queries for data extraction.
• Support operational activities, quality improvement, and project implementation.
• Collaborate with departments to provide technical solutions and system configurations.
• Perform month-end responsibilities accurately and independently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
