Job summary

Deloitte Consulting is seeking a Healthcare Data Engineer Sr. Consultant to design, develop, and operationalize scalable data platforms and integration pipelines across claims, payments, member, provider, eligibility, medical, and pharmacy domains.

The role emphasizes cloud-based delivery using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, AWS services, and related tools. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of consulting experience, 6+ years in healthcare (Medicare knowledge), strong stakeholder skills,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall consulting experience
• 6+ years in healthcare with Medicare knowledge
• Requirements gathering and stakeholder coordination
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, CS, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients served
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, offshore coordination, documentation, and knowledge-transfer skills
• Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
• Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
• You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to rules governing the program

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operationalize scalable healthcare data platforms and integration pipelines across multiple domains
• Deliver cloud-based data products using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, AWS, Teradata Vantage, Informatica, Airflow, GitHub, and Azure DevOps
• Lead projects or workstreams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with teams to ensure quality data engineering solutions
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and demonstrate technical capabilities
