Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Custodian to perform skilled cleaning, housekeeping and general maintenance in acute and non-acute areas, including the new Irvine Acute Rehab Hospital opening Summer 2026. You will be careful with supplies, operate cleaning equipment, and support a safe patient-care environment.

Candidates should have service industry experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service industry required.
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance duties.
• Strip, wax floors and perform carpet extraction/shampooing as needed.
• Work across acute and non-acute areas, including new Irvine Acute Rehab Hospital.
