Job summary

The Pavilion at Williamsburg Place in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a Controller to direct financial administration, GAAP-compliant accounting, payroll, budgeting, and monthly closings. Required: Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years' experience, CPA preferred; Master’s preferred. Supervisory responsibilities and strong budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; MBA/related preferred.
• Five+ years of accounting experience, healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with accounting software, especially AP and Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements financial systems, controls, and procedures for accounting functions ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Identifies and prioritizes issues; collaborates with department and corporate leaders.
• Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly and concisely.
• Plans and monitors budget and fiscal integrity; achieves targets for the department and facility.
• Oversees daily operation of the finance department.
• Provides financial information to operating management in a timely, accurate manner.
• Leads staff through hiring, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Monitors monthly operating results against budget and improves trends.
