Job summary

SummitStone Health Partners in Fort Collins, CO is seeking aController to oversee the accounting systems and internal controls, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. The role reports to senior leadership and shapes financial strategy across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in accounting/finance with 3+ years in leadership, GAAP expertise, and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and grant accounting required.
• More than ten years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least three years in a leadership role.
• Experience in a healthcare organization is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, estimates, grant billing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Own and continuously improve internal controls, ensuring GAAP and grant requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to ensure records reflect billing and reimbursements.
• Provide insight and reporting to leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
