Job summary

Ardent Health is seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Construction to oversee planning, design and construction of capital projects. You will lead projects across varying phases, typically 10–20 at any time, with values from $200,000 to $25,000,000+, under the Director of Planning and Construction.

The role requires healthcare construction experience, strong leadership, and ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors. Based in Brentwood, TN, some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or architecture.
• CHC certification or willingness to obtain within the first two years of employment.
• 10+ years of design and construction experience with 5+ years in healthcare.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to travel to work locations with varying accessibility.
• Working knowledge of healthcare design guidelines (FGI, ADA, OSHA, NFPA).
• Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Defines project goals with operations teams and analyzes risks.
• Develops budgets, constructability analyses, and schedules.
• Selects architects, engineers, and vendors; drafts contracts.
• Reviews costs against the budget and verifies feasibility.
• Manages and updates project cash flow and coordinates with finance.
• Leads coordination meetings and monitors design team and quality control.
• Meets with authorities over scope, design issues and codes.
• Analyzes bids and monitors subcontractor pricing and bonding requirements.
• Processes contracts and invoices; ensures charges align with terms.
• Visits sites to verify conformance and document deficiencies.
• Assists with phasing plans and interim life safety measures.
