Job summary

Rogers-O'Brien Construction is seeking a Project Manager to provide on-site direction for all construction activities on the assigned project, focusing on cost control and schedule development to meet deadlines. You will oversee planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and safety, while guiding staff to deliver high-quality results for the client.

Qualifications

• A degree in Construction Science or Engineering is preferred but not required.
• 5-10 years' experience with $10M+ projects and ground-up expertise in Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing and General Construction sectors.
• Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera and Procore is preferred.
• Experience on projects utilizing technologies like digital plan rooms, BIM, or laser scanning.
• Ability to lead preconstruction on potential or negotiated projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills to handle project planning and execution challenges.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Quality Managers, Office Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Assistant Administrative Assistants to ensure project success.
• Ensure projects are staffed correctly to optimize efficiency and project delivery.
• Plan and conduct estimating handoff and project kickoff meetings.
• Assure compliance with pre-planning processes to mitigate risks.
• Assist the project team with developing a project risk management strategy.
• Analyze and draft subcontracts to ensure clarity and compliance.
• Create detailed subcontractor bid tabs to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Initiate pre-qualification of potential subcontractors to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent on purchasing decisions for materials, rental equipment, and forming systems.
• Prepare and submit proposed changes to the Owner to maintain project alignment.
• Chair weekly project meetings to discuss progress and address any issues.
• Prepare monthly billing to the Owner to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
• Monitor progress and maintain the project schedule to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee the project safety program to ensure a secure work environment.
• Manage project close-out, including preparation of warranties, as-built drawings, and maintenance manuals.
