About the Company:

San Antonio-based General Contractor that has been a key player in the region for more than 20 years, delivering projects across commercial, mission-critical, healthcare, education, and interiors markets. The firm is recognized for its strong client relationships—earning 80% of work from repeat clients—along with a reputation for safety innovation and award-winning project delivery.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Healthcare – Hospitals Division. Candidates should have proven experience managing projects in this sector.

Senior Project Manager Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall direction, execution and completion of a singular large-scale project or multiple mid-size projects. The SPM will develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all facets necessary to construct projects on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. This role provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a leader.

Select Responsibilities:

• Ground-up project delivery and successful outcome from pre-construction through closeout
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications
• Participate in the procurement process and develop project budgets and schedules and logistics plan
• Determine appropriate milestones and assign staff qualified to handle the scope and complexity of the project
• Provide leadership and support to the project team. Review and communicate on ASIs, RFIs and material submittals
• Coordinate and conduct required meetings
• Communicate directly with Superintendent and subcontractors concerning project costs, staffing, scheduling, and safety
• Maintain relationships with architects, developers, and subcontractors
• Participate in industry networking events and associations to promote the company and gain insight in industry/market trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8–10+ years of proven project management experience
• Demonstrated success managing healthcare construction projects
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore
• Vehicle and cell phone allowances
