Job summary

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Government Programs division seeks a Senior Corporate Communications Consultant to shape ACA, Medicaid, and the Basic Health Plan communications in the Washington, DC area. You will lead strategic communications plans for high‑level projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and present strategies to executives while mentoring junior staff.

Qualified candidates bring 8 years of healthcare communications experience and knowledge of regulated programs;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
• 8 years of professional communications experience.
• Experience in regulated healthcare programs.
• Sales and/or health insurance experience (3 years) (preferred).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of the marketing and communication strategy across products, audiences and channels.
• Leads development and amplification of strategic communications, including printed materials, digital communications, presentations, talking points, campaigns and more.
• Direct and work with support resources including Business Divisions, Marketing Communications, Brand, Product, Public Relations, Strategic Research, Legal and Compliance.
