Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr Business Analyst to support a large Health Plan initiative. The role focuses on eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements for complex business problems in healthcare operations, including medical appeals and claims.

Remote contract engagement with W2 benefits and a competitive hourly rate. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure traceability, drive business readiness, and support training and post-implementation reviews

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related business analysis experience. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of related experience.
• Experience in healthcare, health plan, insurance, or pharmaceutical domains.
• Hands-on exposure to medical appeals, claims, and large plan implementations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, and ROI modeling.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements for complex initiatives.
• Develop requirements approaches and management plans aligned to project plans.
• Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Maintain solution scope and requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive business readiness activities, including communication planning for changes to technology, processes, and people.
• Support and coordinate training to ensure efficient implementations and desired outcomes.
• Develop procedures and specifications for systems or process changes and coordinate cross-functional implementation.
• Design and conduct post-implementation audits and implement customer feedback mechanisms.
• Analyze workflow processes, design and test solutions, and assess organizational impacts.
• Manage requirements change requests and maintain documentation.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools to measure performance and ensure data integrity.
• Present results and insights to business stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify business risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalation when necessary.
• Build and support vendor relationships and assist with training as needed.
• Provide oversight and peer reviews for less experienced analysts.
