Job summary

Care Options For Kids is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting and financial reporting for a multi-location home health organization. You will supervise a team of six accountants, manage month-end close, and provide leadership-driven analysis to drive branch and service-line performance.

The role requires a strong GAAP background, healthcare billing knowledge, and the ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting with 2+ years in supervisory position.
• Multi-site healthcare experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Excel and healthcare billing / reimbursement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise accounting staff and to collaborate with clinical and operations leaders.
• Passion for taking an organization to the next level!

Responsibilities

• Own month end and year end close processes, leading a team of six accountants.
• Prepare journal entries and complete general ledger reconciliations.
• Oversee initial review of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform monthly location level variance analysis with explanations for leadership review.
• Research and resolve variance analysis and reconciliation issues.
• Assist with audits and payer/regulatory inquiries.
• Provide financial analysis on productivity, payer mix, margin by service line, and branch performance.
• Support process consolidation and automation efforts across departments.
