Job summary

WHC Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for the Pipeline sector to lead the development and continuous improvement of H&S programs across projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client expectations.

Based in Lafayette, LA or The Woodlands, TX, this role partners with operations to mentor teams, perform risk assessments, investigations, and maintain the H&S management system, while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred; CSP or similar designation is a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive H&S experience in oil/gas construction or pipeline projects.
• Experience leading and developing H&S teams and implementing H&S management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the H&S program and management system across all projects.
• Mentor and develop the H&S team; assign work and coach staff.
• Monitor safety performance; track metrics; prepare reports; implement corrective actions.
• Oversee hazard assessments, inspections, audits, near-misses, and incident investigations; identify root causes.
• Promote proactive safety culture; communicate policies and safe work practices to all levels.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and partners to strengthen WHC safety practices and compliance.
