Job summary

Voi is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager DACH to lead safety teams across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Southern Europe, ensuring compliance with local laws and Voi standards. The role coordinates policy, training and incident investigations while driving continuous safety improvements.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a related field, SIFA or equivalent, fluency in English and German, and willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in occupational health and safety, engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Recognised professional health and safety qualification, ideally Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SIFA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a health and safety management role, including people leadership or leading project teams.
• Strong knowledge of German health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments, and conducting audits and incident investigations.
• Experience delivering training to improve safety performance.
• Strong stakeholder management, with excellent communication and reporting skills and the ability to use incident and audit data to identify trends and root causes.
• Experience using AI tools regularly in role‑specific workflows, adapting prompts and workflows to improve output quality, and guiding team members on effective and responsible AI use.
• Fluent English and German.
• Willingness to travel between sites and markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the health and safety team, including regional and local safety contacts.
• Promote a strong safety culture across warehouse, fleet and field operations.
• Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures across the region.
• Ensure SIFA, Fire Safety Officer and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser roles are covered in every market.
• Keep comprehensive risk assessments current for all operational sites and activities.
• Oversee safe use of technical equipment and hazardous substances, battery handling, and charging infrastructure.
• Lead investigations including root‑cause analyses and track corrective actions.
• Ensure regular safety inspections and monitor implementation of actions.
• Coordinate central health and safety training across markets.
• Stay up to date on health and safety legislation and support external inspections.
• Define safety KPIs and provide structured reporting to management.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, HWQA and Communications on compliance matters.
• Own the regional health and safety roadmap and drive continuous improvements.
