Job summary

Voi is seeking an energetic leader to become Head of Market Development in Germany, reporting to the General Manager. You will own the city relationships across 40+ cities, set market strategy with data-driven insights, and lead the Market Development team to drive city-level P&Ls and service design.

You will collaborate with central Tender and Public Policy teams, influence pricing and product strategy, and guide cross-functional projects with government and authorities to strengthen Voi's

Qualifications

• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Bachelor level degree in related field.
• 6+ years in policy, government or enterprise key account management or strategy consulting.
• Experience leading high-performing teams.
• Experience negotiating with complex external stakeholders (government/public authorities).
• Experience owning P&L, budgets and business cases.
• Experience leading tenders/RFPs and cross-functional projects.
• Experience using AI to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• City & Stakeholder Relationships: Be Voi's representative and escalation point for city decision-makers, public transport authorities and the wider local ecosystem.

YOUR MISSION AT VOI

As Head of Market Development (m/f/d), you'll report directly to the General Manager – Germany and own the relationship between Voi and the cities we operate in. In this role you'll be part of the German leadership team, lead the Market Development team and set the commercial and city-relationship strategy with direct impact on the success of our biggest market. Today we operate in 40+ cities across Germany with 75,000+ vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

• City & Stakeholder Relationships: Be Voi's representative and escalation point for city decision-makers, public transport authorities and the wider local ecosystem.

• Strategy & Planning: Work with the General Manager to set the market development strategy aligned with our central vision.

• Commercial Performance & Service Design: Own the city-level P&Ls and use data to improve service design, rider experience and vehicle allocation in collaboration with cities and the local Operations Strategy team.

• Tenders & City Positioning: Continuously evaluate market entry opportunities, and collaborate with the central Tender team and regional Public Policy team to ensure we're well positioned as the obvious choice for cities tendering for micromobility services.

• People & Performance: Lead and develop the Market Development team, set clear goals, drive ownership and accountability and support with regular feedback and development plans.

• Cross-functional collaboration: Act as a partner to the local and central teams, driving alignment on pricing, product and city strategy, and sharing structured market feedback.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

• Full professional fluency in German and English, written and spoken.

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering or similar.

• 6+ years of experience in policy, government or enterprise key account management or strategy consulting.

• Experience leading and developing a high-performing team.

• Experience negotiating with and influencing complex external stakeholders, such as government and public authorities.

• Experience owning a P&L, budgets and business cases.

• Experience leading tenders or RFPs and complex, cross-functional projects with diverging stakeholder needs.

• Experience using AI in a role-specific context, and the ability to drive new ways to apply it in your team's workflows.
