Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a health-related field or equivalent with one year of healthcare experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree with two years of healthcare experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and professional staff to plan and coordinate joint patient and management objectives.
• Provides administrative supervision for a health service program.
• Plans, develops, and may conduct training programs for staff proficiency and new equipment use.
• Allocates staff based on workload, space, and equipment.
• Coordinates research projects and studies to evaluate rehabilitative programs.
• Directs processing of orders for equipment, prosthetic appliances, and medical supplies.
• Consults with clinical staff to clarify ambiguities and secure necessary documentation.
• Ensures compliance policies and procedures are current and followed.
• Supervises office administration and record-keeping activities.
• Responsible for employee supervision, performance and development.
• Supervises preparation and publication of manuals and procedures.

• May supervise studies to improve departmental operations and implement changes.
• May analyze patient records with clinical staff for documentation related to stay length and services for reimbursement.
