Job summary

Highwire in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Account Executive on the Health team to drive tactical PR programs for healthcare technology, life sciences, digital health, medical devices, and services. You will lead media relations, awards, speaking engagements, and content while partnering with innovative clients to shape pivotal campaigns.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of PR/communications experience in an agency setting.
• Background in healthcare, health-tech, life sciences, or medical technology sectors.
• Demonstrated success in developing media relationships and securing impactful placements.
• Strong writing and editing skills across formats and audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead tactical execution of PR program elements including media relations, analyst relations, awards, speaking, and content.
• Manage projects from concept through completion, timelines and budgets.
• Lead regular client communications, weekly PR calls and check-ins.
• Provide strategic counsel even under high-pressure circumstances.
• Develop and present quarterly PR campaigns and plans with industry insights.
• Track competitor activity and identify timely opportunities for commentary.
• Participate in media training and refine key messages.
• Develop budget recommendations and team priorities.
• Own media relations efforts with healthcare and health-tech publications.
• Coach junior team members to strengthen pitching skills.
• Lead reporting efforts and present campaign insights to clients.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless service.
• Explore AI tools to increase efficiency and creativity.
