Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in EH&S or Radiation Safety preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience handling radioactive material preferred.
• Knowledge of EHS procedures / Waste Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research regulatory issues to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (NRC, DOT, EPA, etc.).
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with daily, weekly and monthly EH&S and radiation safety tasks.
• Identify facility safety training needs and develop and coordinate safety training programs.
• Lead and facilitate safety committee meetings to improve safety culture.
• Provide technical support to ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations.
• Review and lead injury/illness and incident investigations and follow up as needed.
• Perform audits and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate environmental health safety management program activities and emergency response procedures.
