Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Health Physics professional to support nuclear pharmacies and facilities in radiation safety and regulatory compliance. The role includes policy development, licensing tasks, and customer training.

The position involves occasional travel for routine visits and collaboration with regulatory agencies, with a focus on ALARA and radiation protection programs. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with opportunities to advance toward RSO

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travels for routine customer visits in Nevada and potentially to other states for team coverage.
• Assists facilities with the development and/or updating of policies and procedures pertaining to the use of radioactive materials and radiological imaging procedures.
• Prepares radioactive materials license applications, renewals, and amendment requests.
• Assists facilities with interactions with regulatory agencies regarding radioactive materials and radiation producing machines.
• Completes radiation safety audits, customer wipes/surveys and ALARA reviews as required.
• Provides timely responses to customer and regulatory agency questions concerning radiation safety and health physics.
• Conducts group and individual training sessions; document training activities as required.
