Job summary

Curium Pharma is seeking a Senior Health Physicist to implement portions of the Radiation Protection Program and support health physics policies and procedures. You will perform complex radiological tasks to minimize exposure and ensure regulatory compliance across production, research, and projects.

The role requires leadership in radiological surveys, material controls, audits, environmental sampling, and training to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent certification in radiation or physical sciences.
• Certification from ABHP or NR Radiation Protection Technicians preferred.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of radiation, health physics and math.
• Familiarity with NRC requirements and guidance.
• Project management experience.
• Laboratory experience.
• Technical writing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of cyclotron operations.
• Advanced knowledge of NRC compliance analyses.
• Advanced knowledge of industry best practices for radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead program functions and/or support groups with use of radioactive materials.
• Ensure the implementation of assigned elements of the Radiation Protection Program.
• Maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines.
• Inspect and audit operations involving radioactive materials and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement Radiological Work Permits for non-routine activities.
• Provide radiation safety support to assigned projects.
• Lead projects related to radiation safety.
• Write technical reports for regulatory compliance or project support.
• Serve as backup for Health Physics Technicians.
• Conduct radiological surveys and instrument calibrations onsite.
• Perform environmental sampling and analysis of radiological samples.
• Maintain documentation per program requirements and investigate incidents.
• Promote safety programs and develop SOPs for radioactive materials.
• Review regulations and evaluate impact on the program.
• Provide radiological support to emergencies and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours and in hazardous environments.
