Job summary

Tetra Tech in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Certified Health Physicist (CHP) to support U.S. EPA radiation safety on a federal contract. The CHP must hold ABHP or equivalent, 40-Hour HAZWOPER, and 8-Hour Refresher, and will manage radiological equipment and data for federal projects.

The position is based in Erlanger, KY, with travel to sites and occasional overnight stays, requiring strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to conduct project site and client visits, including overnight travel.
• EPA radiological equipment knowledge and radiation safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage EPA radiological monitoring equipment for response readiness.
• Create and maintain SOPs for radiological monitoring equipment.
• Participate in radiological field surveys, sampling, and data collection.
• Conduct field experiments and data analyses.
• Support EPA with radiological workshops by preparing agendas and presenting material.
