Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV, seeks an experienced Senior Application Specialist to analyze, design, code, test, and implement enterprise applications across Renown Health entities. You will partner with user communities to resolve technical issues and drive optimization of existing systems.

You will oversee configuration, testing, and support within assigned products, lead large projects, and interact with business owners, project managers and vendors to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, science, or business, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years' experience in application configuration/design, with at least 2 years in configuration/design and implementation related to the position.
• 4+ years in a healthcare setting; project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of new and existing application systems used within Renown Health entities.
• Partner with user community to resolve technical problems and optimize/ enhance systems.
• Oversee design, configuration, testing and support of files within assigned products and scope; may require system administration tasks.
• Create and maintain documentation; troubleshoot moderate to complex problems from end users.
• Develop effort estimates and track actual time; coordinate with teams for testing and releases.
• Demonstrate project management skills and maintain project plans; communicate with owners, PMs, vendors, and customers.
