Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a Senior Research Data Analyst to contribute to multi-year health services research using large federal datasets. You will perform descriptive and model-based analyses, generate publication-quality visuals, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to advance policy-relevant findings.

You will work with Medicare/Medicaid data, assist with IRB considerations, and help prepare reports and manuscripts. Strong ethics and data integrity are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health services research, health policy, epidemiology, sociology or biostatistics with observational research content.
• Two years of research experience with administrative claims data and analytic cohorts.
• Experience with SAS, R, Python or STATA and data visualization is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform descriptive and model-based analyses to assess health service utilization and outcomes.
• Create publication-quality visuals and tables for policy audiences and stakeholders.
• Ensure analyses comply with KUMC policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain data confidentiality and manage sensitive data per policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to analytic design.
