Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. seeks a Senior Associate to join its Health Law practice in Chattanooga. You will lead significant health care transactions, provide regulatory guidance, and deliver strategic counsel on compliance and governance matters.

You will engage in high-stakes work with tight collaboration across teams, offering opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to client relations. A dynamic, growth-oriented environment awaits in downtown Chattanooga.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Tennessee Bar membership (or eligibility to obtain upon hire).
• Minimum of 4 years of health care transactional law experience.
• Deep understanding of health care regulations, compliance frameworks, and industry dynamics.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
• Outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract negotiations for professional service agreements, vendor service agreements, and other transaction documents.
• Serve as a key member of M&A deal teams, handling due diligence, regulatory analysis, and transaction documents.
• Assist health care vendors with revenue cycle management and other service agreements.
• Provide comprehensive regulatory guidance on fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and compliance matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients with minimal supervision.
• Design and implement corporate, HIPAA and other compliance policies and documents.
• Deliver ongoing outside counsel services, becoming a trusted advisor on day-to-day operational and corporate matters.
• Present to health care organizations and professional groups, establishing yourself as an industry expert.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research and analysis on emerging health care issues.
• Contribute to the firm's reputation as a go-to health law resource.
