Job summary

The ideal candidate possesses actuarial credentials (ASA or near-ASA), 4+ years of group health benefits experience, and strong Excel and presentation skills. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field required.
• Recent actuarial accreditation (ASA or near-ASA) preferred.
• 4+ years of group health benefits experience at a brokerage/consulting firm or insurance carrier.
• Ability to compile, analyze, present, and interpret financial and statistical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis for employer group health plans including ongoing claim reporting and rate setting.
• Leverage models to illustrate client health plan financial patterns and outcomes.
• Evaluate benefits utilization and claims data to aid cost management strategies.
• Prepare visuals and reports for client meetings and presentations.
• Assist in development of reserve estimates for self-funded clients and certify results after accreditation.
