Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Senior Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join the GP Ward team at Chalmers Hospital, Banff. The post is permanent, with 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights, including weekends and public holidays.

33 hours per week, with potential for shorter shifts as needed. The ward provides 18 beds for GP acute, rehabilitation and palliative/end-of-life care, and supports outpatient clinics and day cases.

Qualifications

• Must be enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking with a genuine interest in this type of nursing.
• Ability to work in a busy clinical area with an unpredictable workload.
• Adaptable to continually changing service.
• Up to date NHS Scotland mandatory training would be an advantage, training can be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Care for GP Ward patients in an 18 bedded ward.
• Support acute/rehabilitation and palliative/end-of-life care; assist with day cases and outpatient clinics.
• Work in a busy rotating schedule between day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
