The Senior HCM (Human Capital Management) System Analyst is responsible for leading the technical oversight and system maintenance related to Human Resource functions in the Workday Application such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent Management, Learning, Recruitment, Absence, and Compensation. Works closely with HR and Payroll functional areas as the technical resource to analyze, suggest, and troubleshoot issues and new requests. Collaborates with other Workday System peers on cross-functional enhancements and issues.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the Digital & Technology Solutions department partnering with HR and People Technology to drive the product roadmap and support the configuration of Workday HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Talent Management, Recruitment, Learning, People Experience, reporting, and analytics.
- Develop and implement best practices for Workday system use, including business process workflows, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.
- Gather feedback from users, analyze workflows, and implement enhancements or customizations to meet evolving business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into system configurations.
- Perform complex Workday EIBs and configuration changes, create test scripts, and conduct testing.
- Research, design, test, and implement configuration changes for process improvements.
- Serve as a lead subject matter expert for Workday HCM products, maintaining effective system utilization and efficiency.
- Manage Workday semi-annual releases and feature adoption across HCM modules.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues, seeking opportunities to enhance processes and user experience.
- Facilitate change management processes, including communication plans, implementation, and rollback strategies for HCM products.
- Investigate, triage, troubleshoot escalated issues and outages, perform root cause analysis, and apply problem resolution strategies.
- Develop internal training materials for Workday HCM functionality.
- Maintain Workday security configuration, design, and administration.
- Stay informed of Workday releases and features, assessing impacts and adoption strategies.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive the product roadmap.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Education & Experience
- Applicants should have 4-6 years of experience supporting at least 4 Workday HCM products for the HCM Analyst level, or 1-3 years supporting multiple products for the HCM Administrator level.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of Workday HCM development, configuration, reporting, and support experience.
