Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a highly skilled HAZMAT Chemical and Gas Professional to lead safe and compliant management, storage, and transport of hazardous materials and gases. You will leverage DOT/IATA/IMDG knowledge, vendor management, KPI development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive safety and operational excellence.

The role focuses on leading logistics, materials management, and compliance initiatives to support continuous fab operations with strong reporting."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; substitution possible for similar education/work experience.
• 3–5 years of hazardous materials management experience in manufacturing or semiconductor environments.
• DOT, IATA, IMDG Hazmat shipping certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply supply chain management principles, statistical analysis, and inventory optimization to establish and monitor KPIs.
• Support raw material and hazardous materials management in compliance with DOT, EH&S, and site SOPs.
• Oversee daily logistics operations, monitor workflow, and serve as a SME for raw material processes and SOPs.
• Utilize SAP/ERP systems for materials planning, inventory tracking, discrepancy resolution, root-cause analysis, and reporting.
• Coordinate specialized raw material shipments and monitor delivery to maintain target inventory for fab operations.
• Respond quickly to raw material supply disruptions, liaising between Procurement, suppliers/logistics partners, and end users.
• Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives to close gaps and streamline workflows.
