Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Senior/Principal Harness Engineer to architect spacecraft-wide electrical harness standards and interfaces across programs. You will lead design automation initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure scalable, reliable harness integration across multi‑program spacecraft configurations.

The role requires system-level thinking, collaboration with supply chain and manufacturing, and the ability to influence cross‑org alignment while maintaining schedule and mission assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect spacecraft-wide electrical harness standards and interface conventions across programs; define grounding, shielding, EMC isolation, and signal integrity practices at the vehicle level.
• Define spacecraft-level routing rules and mechanical interface standards that integrate harness layouts across full spacecraft configurations.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Manufacturing to develop harness part selection strategies with cost efficiency and production scalability.
• Define design-for-manufacture philosophies and reliability standards for harness assemblies; collaborate on material innovation and verification processes.
• Coach and mentor harness engineers; lead cross-org alignment on technical direction and standards.
• Create automation tools for rapid harness design and validation to increase velocity and reduce errors.
• Shape company narratives on harness engineering direction and influence executive priorities.
• Anticipate trade-offs and drive mitigation strategies to protect schedule and mission assurance across programs.
