Job summary

Vast is seeking a Harness Design Engineer in Long Beach to support the design and manufacture of flight wire harnesses for the Haven space station. This full-time position reports to the Senior Manager, Harness Design and requires close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines.

You will develop 3D NX CAD harness routing, wiring diagrams and ICDs, perform electrical analysis and testing for flight qualification, and produce clear, thorough documentation for production and integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in design focused roles.
• 2+ years of experience with wire harness 3D design, wiring diagrams, and formboard creation.

Responsibilities

• Develop the electro-mechanical design of flight wire harnesses for the Haven space station.
• Develop the electro-mechanical design of development and test harnesses to support qualification testing.
• Design and analyze electrical architectures and wire harness systems with wiring diagrams and ICDs.
• Perform electrical analysis, power budgeting, and signal routing optimization for subsystems.
