Job summary

Rocket Lab USA in Long Beach, CA seeks a Senior Harness Design Engineer II to design, develop, and integrate electrical harnesses for spacecraft. You will define interfaces, select components, generate wiring diagrams, and collaborate with systems, mechanical, and AIT teams to ensure seamless harness integration.

You will lead electrical design work, perform analysis, maintain BOMs in PLM tools, and ensure compliance with space-grade standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering or avionics experience.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance or higher

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical harness systems for spacecraft, including connector selection and routing.
• Generate wiring diagrams, pinout tables, and interface definitions.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and AIT teams to ensure proper harness integration.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PLM tools and produce fabrication drawings.
• Perform design reviews and troubleshooting of harness systems during fabrication and testing.
