Job summary

Knowles Corporation in Itasca, IL, is seeking an experienced Test Solutions Engineer to design and implement product test solutions across hardware, firmware, and software domains. You will collaborate with R&D and production teams to define next-generation acoustic test systems and validation methods.

The role requires a strong background in electronics hardware testing, Altium, and multi-site program leadership, with a focus on signal acoustics and test automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
  • 4–15 years of experience developing hardware for small signal audio, and/or large signal audio test solutions.
  • Experience developing hardware test systems across sites.
  • Ability to lead complex technical programs across multiple sites.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Co-Develop Acoustic Test solutions for the production factory and R&D, following department processes.
  • Perform statistical analysis to characterize and validate acoustic test systems; standardize test platforms and measurement systems across sites.
  • Partner with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, NPI, and Manufacturing leadership to define next-generation test strategies.
  • Provide technical coaching across global test engineering teams; lead technology investigations and proof-of-concept projects.
