Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an exceptional Technical Program Manager to oversee the R&D program management function, ensuring successful program execution and process improvements across departments. This role supports budgets, staffing, and operational rhythms.

The candidate will drive end‑to‑end program plans, manage risks, and collaborate with hardware teams to deliver next‑generation products for data center and enterprise markets. Strong communication and cross‑functional skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, with a focus on hardware product development.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex hardware products to the market.
  • Understanding of hardware development processes with cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Drive development of core hardware products and platforms for next‑generation.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and lead to resolve datacenter level issues at production sites and partner sites.
  • Develop and execute end‑to‑end program plans, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of programs.
  • Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.
  • Implement escalation protocols and schedule recovery efforts, including communications and resource allocation.
  • Articulate technology, requirements, goals, and milestones of the team.
  • Set milestones, communicate program statuses, and address setbacks.
  • Balance cost versus benefit to address high-priority partner and customer needs.
