Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Senior Manager of Procurement Operations focused on Hardware. You will own procurement operations for one or more hardware business units, lead intake through PO, coordinate suppliers, and manage changes, receiving readiness, and invoice support.

This hands-on operator-builder role emphasizes scalable workflows, AI-enabled process improvements, and strong fiscal controls. You will partner with Finance, Legal, and BU teams, and work in SF with a hybrid model and relocation

Qualifications

• 7+ years in procurement ops or P2P in hardware/complex environments.
• Strong understanding of fiscal controls, accruals, and audit readiness.
• Can manage request-to-PO processes and supplier workflows.
• Ability to balance speed with controls and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement operations outcomes for hardware units from intake to PO.
• Redesign workflows and operating rhythms to scale without headcount growth.
• Lead end-to-end procurement activities including PO creation, supplier coordination, and invoice readiness.
• Build scalable workflows and AI-enabled improvements to reduce manual follow-up.
