Sandbar in New York is looking for a Senior Hardware Lab Technician to support the development of wearable consumer electronics products. The role involves collaborating closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Quality engineers in a startup environment.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years experience in a hardware development environment, strong skills in soldering and testing, and a relevant degree. Benefits include health, vision, dental, and company-sponsored 401(k).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a lab technician in a hardware product development environment.
• Proven expertise in soldering and reworking fine-pitch components.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical and mechanical testing on prototypes.
• Order, maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment.

Skills

Soldering and reworking fine-pitch components

Reading electrical schematics

Proficiency with electrical test equipment

Scripting for automation

Excellent problem-solving skills

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science
