Job summary

Orthofix is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop hardware and firmware for bone growth and tissue regeneration devices. You will work with electromagnetic/ultrasound exposure modeling, ML-based motion analysis, and automated testing to enable next-generation therapy systems.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, with familiarity in C#, Python, Windows/Linux, and PCB design.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience as an electrical engineer or firmware developer.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux, C#, Python; PCB design capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform electromagnetic and ultrasound exposure optimization using SEMCAD/SIM4LIFE.
• Implement electrical/mechanical designs for exposure devices.
• Design and build automated tests for exposure systems.
• Create firmware to operate exposure systems.
• Develop machine vision and ML-based systems to assess patient movement.
• Contribute to next-gen PEMF and ultrasound bone/tissue stimulation hardware.
