Job summary

Experis Technology Group's client, a leading Semiconductor and Data Center technology company, is seeking a Failure Analysis & Validation Engineer to join the Hardware Validation & Engineering team in Austin. You will perform root-cause analysis of silicon, board, and system-level failures.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of semiconductor validation experience, strong skills in Python and hardware debugging, and hands-on proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor validation, testing, hardware debug, or failure analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GPU/CPU architectures, PCIe, memory systems, and power management.
• Experience with Python, Shell, C++, C#, or similar programming/scripting languages.
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, thermal cameras, and power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform root-cause analysis of silicon, board, and system-level failures.
• Debug hardware, firmware, drivers, operating systems, PCIe, memory, power, and thermal issues.
• Develop diagnostics, validation methodologies, stress tests, and automation tools.
• Analyze telemetry, logs, and large datasets to identify and resolve failure signatures.
• Support server platform bring-up, NPI activities, and production failure investigations.
