Westinghouse Electric Company in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Supervisor, Hardware Engineering to lead a 13-15 person team that designs, manufactures and tests instrumentation and control assemblies and cabinets for Plant Computer and Annunciator systems.

The role reports to the Sr. Manager, Control & Information System Engineering and is located onsite in Huntsville. Base salary ranges from $116,800 to $146,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering.
• Experience leading a team of engineers.
• Experience with I&C hardware design for electronic assemblies, cabinets, PCBs, cables, etc.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of direct reports.
• Hiring, training, and developing resources to increase bench strength.
• Establish a culture of safety and quality as top priorities.
• Evaluate resource demand from projects and develop hiring plans for long-term sustainability.
• Meet labor rate goals for the team.
• Interface with production supervisors to align production and engineering teams.
• Ensure design and manufacturing process consistency across the team.
• Incorporate lessons from two plant computer/annunciator system products.
• Ensure on-time closure of issues and corrective actions.
• Lead product and process improvements and cost savings plans.
• Collaborate across organizations.
• Lead resolution of emergent customer issues.
• Lead development of cost estimates for new projects.
