Job summary

Qualitrol, a Ralliant company, seeks a Sr. Hardware Engineer to drive the development of next-generation sensing and monitoring hardware for utilities and industrial customers.

You will design analog/digital circuits, lead embedded hardware projects, and collaborate across teams to ensure robust products from concept to production. The role emphasizes AI-enabled design, EMC/safety compliance, and collaboration with global manufacturers.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware design for embedded systems.
• Experience and motivation to use and drive adoption of AI tools.
• Proficiency in analog and digital circuit design, including low-noise signal paths and power management.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus RTU/TCP, LoRa, RS-485).
• Familiarity with sensor integration (temperature, humidity, pressure, optical).
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, Altium Designer preferred.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum framework.
• Knowledge of thermal and fluid dynamics and related simulations (Ansys, SolidWorks) is advantageous.
• Firmware-hardware co-design and debugging embedded systems.
• Designing for EMC and safety compliance and product certification processes.
• Experience with global manufacturing partners and contract manufacturers.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the entire product implementation cycle from requirements analysis to production introduction.
• Collaborate with hardware architecture, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and product management teams.
• Support advanced technology initiatives to develop next-generation sensors and sensing platforms.
• Develop robust, field-ready hardware platforms for industrial and utility applications.
