Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer in Austin, Texas, to design, develop, and document electronics hardware and embedded software across the full product design lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in robotics or related fields, strong PCB design skills, and proficiency with Altium Designer, Embedded C/C++, Python, ROS2, and Git/GitHub. Relocation assistance is offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
Experience in the full product design lifecycle.
PCB Design & Schematic Capture.
Experience using Altium designer or similar.
Experience of Embedded C, C++, Python.
Experience of IMU’s, AI, Open Pilot AI, Git/GitHub, ROS2, LLM.
Exposure to system integration and test.
Ability to use test equipment – Oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers.
Experience troubleshooting complex issues across hardware, firmware, embedded software,
Experience with EMC/EMI, DFT, DFM, NPI, CE Marking, sensors, power management, and signal/power integrity
Industry experience – Robotics, Automotive, Autonomous Vehicles, Unmanned Vehicles, UGV’s, GPS Positioning Technology
Entrepreneurial, team player, strong communication skills & proactive problem-solving mindset
