Job summary

Google Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to own end-to-end board-level electrical design for data center and AI infrastructure.

You will shepherd schematic capture, BOM, and validation from concept through high-volume manufacturing, influencing performance and reliability. You will collaborate with Silicon/ASIC, Mechanical, Thermal, Firmware, and Diagnostics teams and partner with contract manufacturers to address DFM/DFT during NPI builds, delivering integrated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of hardware development, board-level electrical design, and multilayer PCBA implementation.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout review using Cadence Concept, OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium.
• Experience in lab bring-up, hardware debugging, and electrical validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end board-level electrical design, including component selection, schematic capture, BOM creation, and circuit analysis.
• Define PCB stackup requirements, layout guidelines, and routing constraints with PCB layout engineers.
• Collaborate with SI/PI engineers to implement high-speed buses and power delivery networks.
• Lead board bring-up, functional validation, hardware debugging, and electrical characterization in the lab.
