Job summary

Zaddy Solutions in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to drive architecture and implementation of rugged embedded hardware. You will design digital boards, integrate Intel/ARM processors, and lead bring-up, validation, and production release for high-reliability systems.

You will work with FPGA/software teams and hardware vendors in a defense/aerospace context, ensuring performance and ruggedization through verification and robust design practices.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or embedded hardware design.
• Strong experience with digital circuit design for complex embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience designing hardware with Intel and/or ARM processors.
• Experience with FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs, or equivalent devices.
• Experience designing high‑speed interfaces (DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, multi‑Gb Ethernet).
• Strong schematic capture and board design skills.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and debug.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, DMMs).
• Ability to take ownership of complex deliverables and lead teams.

Your Role with the Company

As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical contributor and design authority for complex embedded hardware programs. You will design, develop, test, debug, and support advanced electronic systems while working with a high degree of independence. You will design digital hardware incorporating Intel and ARM-based processors, DDR memory, FPGAs, MPSoCs, and RFSoCs, along with high-speed interfaces such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, and multi-Gigabit Ethernet.

Background Profile

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

• 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, embedded hardware design, or related electronics development

• Strong experience with digital circuit design for complex embedded systems

• Hands-on experience designing hardware incorporating Intel and/or ARM processors

• Experience with FPGAs, MPSoCs, RFSoCs, or similar advanced processing devices

• Experience designing high-speed interfaces such as DDR4/DDR5, PCIe, and multi-Gigabit Ethernet

• Strong experience with schematic capture and circuit-board design

• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, validation, troubleshooting, and debug

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical deliverables

• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership on complex engineering efforts or technology areas
