Job summary

Reliance Matrix is seeking a senior technical expert to design and lead the most complex, high-risk initiatives while staying hands-on in architecture, development, and problem-solving. You will set engineering standards, review designs, and mentor engineers across multiple systems and teams.

The role guides technology roadmaps, resolves cross-domain dependencies, and advances modernization efforts with a focus on reliability, security, and scalable delivery. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in database programming; writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, and triggers using PL/SQL
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite architecture and related operations
• Prior experience developing applications using .NET/C# preferred
• Working knowledge of financial/accounting principles and financial reporting processes
• Expert proficiency across one or more technology stacks (e.g., Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript/React) with strong design skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and resolve difficult production problems
• Ability to provide technical direction across multiple systems, platforms, or teams
• Strong mentoring, influence, and communication skills
• Deep understanding of performance, reliability, security, and integration considerations
• Deep understanding of the business and its products and how solutions support strategic objectives
• Willingness to concentrate for long periods on detailed computer-based work
• Ability to Travel: Up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Designs and leads the most complex, high-risk technical initiatives while remaining hands-on in architecture, design, and problem-solving
• Owns technical direction for complex applications, platforms, products, or domains and defends key decisions
• Analyzes and resolves the most difficult technical and production problems across systems
• Establishes engineering standards, reference designs, reusable patterns, and drives adoption
• Reviews high-impact designs and provides technical direction across multiple systems or teams
• Drives alignment across interconnected domains and partners to resolve competing approaches
• Shapes modernization strategies and improves reliability, maintainability, and resilience
• Advances AI-assisted engineering practices and sets AI standards for the team
• Mentors engineers and influences roadmaps and priorities
• Partners with management to plan milestones and communicate risks
• Acts as trusted technical advisor and engages in high-priority production escalations
• Other duties as assigned
