Job summary

Castelion seeks a Senior Guidance Systems Engineer to develop guidance solutions for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. You will shape the flight performance from concept through flight tests in a rapid hardware-driven environment.

Collaborate with avionics, flight software, and GNC teams to craft robust guidance solutions, define test plans for subscale and full-scale flights, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in guidance design, analysis, and validation for high-speed vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of hypersonic flight vehicle guidance methods for performance, stability, and maneuverability.
• Conduct trajectory and flight simulations to evaluate guidance system performance and validate decisions.
• Analyze and enhance inertial and active guidance for robust performance under variable conditions.
• Collaborate with avionics, seeker, flight software, and GNC teams for seamless integration.
• Define and execute test plans for subscale and full-scale flight tests; mentor junior engineers.
