Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Facilities Engineer for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at the Stennis Space Center in MS.

The role focuses on verification, maintenance, inspection, and repair of GSE and MH equipment, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and efficiency. You will work with engineers to ensure GSE systems meet design, maintainability, and performance goals, including planning PM/CM, inventory, and tooling support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree with 4+ years; in lieu of a degree, 10 years of prior related experience.
• Requires Ground Support Equipment (GSE) experience.
• Experience with CMMS and preventive/corrective maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site liaison to GSE design team to ensure maintainability and efficiency.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations for GSE improvements.
• Use modeling tool software to assess and optimize GSE performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate maintenance feedback into specs.
• Author PM, CM, and proof load work instructions.
• Utilize CMMS to track tasks, inventory, PM, CM and trends.
